The Vision Grew
Some things you plan meticulously. Others, you simply allow them to unfold. When we started Casa Lontano, the vision was simple: create an ideal & idyllic home away from home experience at properties across India; where travelers could feel a sense of belonging, not just occupancy. Spaces that held you gently. Hosts who remembered your name. Experiences that stayed with you long after you checked out. But somewhere along the journey, our vision grew wider, not because we forced it, but because it felt natural. Inevitable, even! Our new vision was to take the same mission beyond borders; and as part of that new vision, we expanded to Masai Mara in Kenya. This was our first but we always knew there would be more! Because “travel” is something; which binds all of us and makes us one big global village.

How It Started
Our first step beyond India was Sri Lanka. And honestly, it was everything we hoped it would be and more. Walking through the coastlines of Negombo, the misty hills of Nuwara Eliya, the vibrant energy of Ella – we realized that the essence of Casa Lontano translates across cultures. The warmth we seek, the authenticity we value, the connections we prioritize – they exist everywhere. They just speak different languages and serve different teas. Meeting property owners in Sri Lanka who shared our philosophy of hospitality reminded me that this isn’t just an Indian story. It’s a human story. And it deserves to be told in more places.

Why Now?
The truth is, it’s happening naturally. We’re not chasing expansion for the sake of growth. We’re following the path that feels right, one that our Casa family has been quietly asking for.
Many of our travelers are Indians who love exploring new countries but often struggle to find the same warmth and ease abroad that they experience with us at home. They want spaces that feel personal, hosts who care, and travel experiences that don’t feel transactional. Sri Lanka was the first. And the response has been beautiful. Guests have told us they felt the same Casa magic there – the same care, the same attention, the same “home away from home” feeling we’re known for. That gave us the confidence to dream bigger.
So we started looking at regions that are close enough to India to be accessible, yet distinct enough to offer something new. Southeast Asia & the Middle East came to our mind first. Places where Indian travelers already go, but often miss that sense of connection we’ve built our entire brand on.

What Global Means for Casa Lontano
Going global isn’t just about adding pins to a map. It’s about building a community that transcends borders. It’s about creating a network of homes where our Casa family can travel with the same ease and trust they have in India. It’s also about exploration – for us as much as for our guests.
We love being in new countries. There’s something about stepping into unfamiliar cultures, tasting new foods, meeting people whose stories are different from mine, that keeps me curious and alive. And every time we explore a new place, I think: “How can we make this accessible to our Casa family? How can we create a path that’s smoother and easier for them?”
That’s what this global expansion is really about. We explore first, we build relationships, we curate thoughtfully – so that when you arrive, everything is already in place. The trust is established. The warmth is real. The experience is seamless.

Where We’re Headed
We’re looking for property partners in these regions – people who believe in hospitality that’s human, not mechanical. Spaces that have soul, not just amenities. Hosts who see guests as extended family, not transaction IDs. If that’s you, let’s talk. Whether you own a villa in Bali, a heritage home in Dubai,
a beachfront escape in Phuket, or a hidden gem anywhere in between – if you share our values, we want to hear from you.

A Dream – an Ambition
None of us at Casa Lontano will pretend this is easy. Expanding globally comes with challenges – navigating new regulations, understanding different cultures, building trust in unfamiliar markets. But if there’s one thing Casa Lontano has taught us, it’s that the best things are rarely easy. They require patience, care, and a willingness to grow.
This is a dream. And it’s an ambition. But more than that, it’s a continuation of what we’ve always done: creating spaces where people feel seen, welcomed, and at home – no matter where in the world they are. So here’s to going global. Not because we have to, but because it feels like the most natural next step. Here’s to new countries, new cultures, new connections. Here’s to making the world feel a little smaller, a little warmer, and a little more like home.
