A Trip to Paradise Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka turned out to be more than a work trip, it was a mix of discovery, connection, and quiet learning. From the moment I landed, the country’s warmth was everywhere, in the way people smiled, the rhythm of daily life, even the air that carried the scent of rain and spice.
This trip gave me real exposure, not just to new properties, but to how hospitality breathes differently here. I spent my days meeting homeowners, walking through spaces built with care, and discussing how each could become part of our Casa family. Every meeting felt less transactional and more personal. The Sri Lankan hosts have a rare sense of openness
I enjoyed discovering how varied each stay was, from jungle homes in Sigiriya to hillside cottages in Nuwara Eliya to coastal villas in Galle. Each property had its own story, and every owner had a spark of pride in sharing theirs. Those conversations reminded me why collaborations matter, it’s not only about rooms and listings, but about people and the energy they bring.
There was one night that stands out, I ended up out with a small group of travelers from different countries. It was spontaneous, just a mix of laughter, food, and stories shared under warm lights. That evening summed up what I love most about this work: how easily the world can feel small when you’re surrounded by genuine people. Looking back, Sri Lanka gave me more than professional growth, it gave me perspective. I left with new connections, a deeper understanding of hospitality, and the feeling that this island, with its kind people and raw beauty, has more chapters waiting to be written for Casa.
