Once in a while, a space creates a deeper impact and stays with us long after the work is done. The Blue City Escape in Jodhpur is one such project. What started as a bare and empty shell slowly transformed into a warm and soulful home. It has grown into a space with its own identity and charm. Watching it go live and seeing guests and locals appreciate it has been incredibly fulfilling.

This journey reminded us why we love creating vacation rentals. Every space carries a unique story and we feel grateful every time we get to be a part of bringing that story to life.

1. It All Begins With Understanding the Vision

The first and most important step for us is understanding what the client truly wants. It is not only about design. It is also about emotion. What should the guest feel the moment they enter the space. What kind of energy should the home hold. How should the experience unfold from beginning to end.
At the same time, we spend time with the property itself. We walk through every room, observe the way light moves, feel the textures and try to understand the full potential of the space.
When the client’s vision and the nature of the property begin to align, the foundation of the project becomes strong and clear.

2. Turning Ideas Into a Concept and a Plan

Once we understand the direction, we begin creating a detailed concept document. This includes mood references, themes, layout ideas and the flow of experiences we want guests to have. This is the stage where imagination becomes organised thought.
The next stage is all about execution. We map out timelines, budgets, vendor coordination and every detail needed to bring the idea to life.
When everything finally comes together, we prepare the listing on Airbnb. We work on the photographs, the description and the positioning of the property. The moment we press Live is always special. It is the moment when an idea becomes real.

3. Clients Slowly Become Partners

Over time, we have realised that building a vacation rental is never a simple transaction. It is too detailed, too emotional and too personal to be treated like regular client work.
When we work through the challenges and the breakthroughs side by side, something shifts. Clients turn into partners. We dream together. We solve problems together. We push each other to create something better.
By the end, the final space reflects a shared vision.

4. Crafting Nooks, Experiences and the Soul of the Space

This is one of our favourite parts. We enjoy spotting corners and turning them into meaningful experiences. A reading nook that encourages stillness. A window seat where the sunrise becomes a daily ritual. A dining setup that makes people want to sit together longer.
Even the smallest details matter. The menu card. The textures. The lighting. The objects placed with intention.
This is where the heart of the home emerges. This is where the Casa touch naturally flows.

5. The Hard Work Nobody Sees but That Changes Everything

Many people see the final photographs and assume the journey was smooth. They say things like they are living the dream. The truth is very different.
There are long days spent running between vendors, unexpected delays, supply shortages, mismatched materials, weather issues and problems that appear out of nowhere. Some days bring excitement. Other days feel like nonstop firefighting.
This is the part that keeps us grounded. These challenges make the final result meaningful.
When everything falls into place, the sense of relief and pride cannot be compared to anything else.

6. Experiencing the Space the Way a Guest Would

Before a property goes live, we always spend time in it the way a guest would. This helps us spot the smallest details. The warmth of the lights. The comfort of the bed. The pressure of the shower. The flow of the space. Even the placement of the kettle.
This simple step improves the guest experience in a big way. This is the moment when the space transforms from beautiful to thoughtful.
